I have enjoyed drawing and painting
as far back as I can remember.
My mother was an artist so it always
seemed a natural part of life to me.
I am compelled to put down what my eye
enjoys seeing… capturing beauty, light, color,
and a sense of aliveness is what I am after.

When Cherlyn is not painting she pursues her passion for digital storytelling and volunteers her time on non-profit projects. She lives in Denver with her husband, Dr. Lonnie Johnson. They enjoy travel, road trips and hiking with their Jack Russell Terriers, Caley and Bandit.
